ABOUT THE CARE PACKAGE
Our care package program originally began mid 2020 during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The time of disparity lasted longer than many of us anticipated. For a community that was already marginalized prior to COVID, and given how vulnerable our community is to unemployment, the need for folxs who lack access and or the financial means to obtain personal hygiene items are most critical.
Dem Bois Inc. curated the care packages with basic essential items to help take care of trans men of color personal care and hygiene needs. Each care package contains over 18 personal care items (socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, lotion, tissue, towels, etcetera).
With the increase in request from trans men of color, we decided to keep the care package program.
